Nokia will work with Microsoft to venture into the Tablet PC market leaving a 10 inch device in Windows 8 on the platform of dual-core Qualcomm in the fourth quarter of 2012 at the earliest, according to sources from upstream suppliers.

Nokia will outsource production of its 10-inch shelves Compal Electronics for the first batch of 200,000 units, the sources revealed.

Nokia has joined the camp of WOA (Windows on ARM), which should give more strength to compete with Microsoft for Google’s Android platform and Apple’s IOS, the sources said.

However, other sources have noted that Nokia’s adventure on the Tablet PC market will also increase competition among sellers of non-iPad tablet PCs.
